WELCOME TO NDOVU LODGE
Unsurprisingly the elephant is a popular guest at the Lodge, and the reason for the name Ndovu Lodge, derived from a Swahili name Ndovu (Elephant).
Built on a hill over-looking the Uluguru mountains, the lodge has scenic views of the horizon, the mountains and the plains and farmlands below the Uluguru mountains. These can be viewed and enjoyed from our elevated timber built dungu and the verandas of our Ndovu bandas (chalets).
This newly constructed Lodge offers you an experience to remember. We have ensured that our guests feel at home while in the bush. Our Bandaz and Dungu are naturally made from timber wood and makuti roofing camouflaging to its surroundings.
Ndovu Lodge wants to take you on board so you can see for yourself. When it comes to life in the wild, Ndovu Lodge is the ultimate experience of what life in the wild could be.
Location
The Lodge is about eight kilometres from the famous Selous Game Reserve. The Selous is known for its abundance of a variety of wildlife in an eco-system of several lakes and bushland.
Unlike other game areas which are heavily populated by people and motor vehicles, Selous is still serene.\ One may watch a pride of lions or other animals in exclusivity. Guests who want to take time off busy work schedules or chaotic city environment may cool off at Selous Game Reserve which is now easily accessible from Dar es salaam. Flights are also available from Zanzibar.
Ndovu Lodge offers hospitality including accommodation, meals, game drives and walking safaris. Transfers can also be arranged from various air strips in the reserve as well as from the City of Dar es salaam. |
